Location
The Orokawa Peninsula extends out into the Bay of Islands in subtropical Northland, New Zealand. This spectacular maritime park consists of 144 islands, secluded beaches, sheltered bays and an abundance of marine wildlife.

Orokawa Bay, accessible by boat, offers an island-like lifestyle and makes an enviable retreat.

Climate
The Bay of Islands enjoys on average 2000 hours of sunshine each year.  The average Summer temperature is 24C/75F with Winter temperatures rarely below 16C/61F

Getting There
Orokawa Bay is approx. 4 hours by road from Auckland International Airport.  Air New Zealand operate several flights daily from Auckland to the domestic airport at Kerikeri.  From there, travel south by road to Opua, take the short car ferry trip across to Russell before continuing by road to Te Hue, where a private and secure car park is provided.  Orokawa Bay is just a short distance by boat across the sheltered bay from here. Suitable landing for a helicopter is also available adjacent to the property.

Situated just metres from the water, the main house offers the ultimate in relaxed living.  Gorgeous views across sheltered Orokawa Bay and beyond.  Launch the boat and catch your dinner from right in front of the house or collect Clams from the beach at low tide. Take advantage of the world-class gamefishing grounds just a short trip out from Orokawa Peninsula.  Seafood and sunshine aplenty!
